TRAIL CONDITIONS UPDATES

Dear fellow skiers –
First of all, I’d like to thank all of you for supporting the Green Hill Nordic Ski Park this year.  We raised $2,840 from 117 donations to the Ski Park, which goes towards gas, maintenance and repairs for the grooming equipment, plus a bit for signage and other small expenses.  Today I met with city parks officials to review how things went for our first season of XC skiing at Green Hill Park and make plans for next season.
I’d like to host a Zoom meeting with the skiing community to go over a few things from today’s meeting with the city and to hear your perspectives on how things went and ways we can improve next year.  Agenda items will include grooming challenges, parking, walkers, dogs, signage and fund raising.  Please join us on Monday March 30th from 5:30-6:30 on Zoom and feel free to forward this to anyone else who might be interested who was not on this email list.  If you cannot make the meeting, please email me at [email protected] if there is anything you’d like to suggest or discuss.
Thank you,
Phil Bolduc

New cross country trails at the Green Hill Park Golf course.

The Park Spirit of Worcester Nordic Ski Park was established in 2018 with funds from the Mass Department of Conservation and Recreation’s Recreational Trails Grant program.  Originally located at Elm Park and Newton Hill, for the 2025-2026 ski season operations were moved to Green Hill Park.

The Ski Park provides a free wintertime recreational opportunity for both classic and skate skiing in a beautiful, historic public space and is the only groomed, public-access cross-country ski venue in Central Massachusetts.

Trail grooming is done by Park Spirit volunteers and operating expenses are entirely funded by user donations.  We encourage skiers to donate $5-10 per use and appreciate the support of the Nordic skiing community that makes this possible.
