The Edward Winslow Lincoln Memorial Gate

The Edward Winslow Lincoln Memorial Gate is located on Russell Street at the intersection of Russell and Cedar Streets - which in the park's early years, before cars were widespread and as Worcester grew into its sparsely populated western lands, was the main entrance to Elm Park.

The Lincoln Memorial gate was 'erected by the citizens of Worcester' in 1905. Lincoln served as Worcester's first parks commissioner from 1870 - 1896.
